Kalman began his career as an assistant director at Mafilm Studios in Budapest where he was working as an assistant director on West-German TV. Upon his return from Europe, he produced and/or directed television commercials and music videos including, Sooner or Later, a music video for ‘The Spoons’, for Anthem Records. He then directed the ‘Shane Minor: Mr.U.S.A.’ workout video then went to work on creature features in New York. When he returned to Canada, Kalman directed, Cannibal Rollerbabes which became a hit in the cult film circles that shock jock Howard Stern discussed it on air, was distributed worldwide, and is now available on iTunes.

Over the years, his projects have garnered the attention of Hollywood, and he has been invited for pitch sessions at Dreamworks, Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. and Icon.
